Welcome to Dan Waters photography web site. Dan is a full-time potter who started marketing and selling his photography to help pay for his photo equipment. He was able to explain to his wife, "Honey, that expensive lens is now a business write-off". Dan splits his time between pottery and photography, and photography is now a part of his income.



I won 2nd place with this photo in the outdoor recreation category of the Wildlife in North Carolina Magazine photo contest. I feel lucky that my photo was chosen out of almost 9000 entries as one of the winners. All of the winning photos appear in this month's issue of Wildlife in North Carolina Magazine, and they are also on display at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
